Final Farewells

Image
Hey everyone! I recently renovated my blog, and I gave it a much more professional and modern look, at least in my opinion. It's still a work in progress, but hopefully it will be finished soon. Please give me some feedback about the new design in the comments section below!   To give you an idea of what's coming up and when, here's a timeline of some things that will be happening very soon: I leave Texas tomorrow, when my family and I begin our trip to DC On August 3, we will arrive in DC On August 6, I say goodbye to my family and join my fellow exchange students On August 8, I say goodbye to the US and get on my plane to Frankfurt Upon arrival, I'll hop on a train and head to language camp, where I'll stay with 49 other CBYX exchange students (or 'Bundies,' as we like to be called, and will henceforth be called in this blog) for the first month in Germany So, as you can see, I'll be very busy in the coming weeks; but I'm sure I can

My Very First Blog!

Hello readers! Thanks for checking out my blog, and I hope you like it!  This is my first blog (ever) , so I'll spend most of this one explaining what this blog will be about, and what I'm doing this year.     The title of this blog is " Ein Jahr in Deutschland, " which is simply " A Year in Germany " written in German. However, if you want to share this blog with anybody (please, please, please share it!), make sure you remember that the web address is www.jahrindeutschland.blogspot.com, and that the "Ein"  in the name is taken out. I chose this title because (you guessed it...) I'm spending the next year (a little over 10 months, to be exact) in Germany! I'm able to do this because of a program called CBYX , which stands for "Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange." It is a scholarship program that awards 250 American students a full scholarship to study abroad for one year in Germany (and vise-versa, for 250 German students).
