Ein Jahr in Deutschland

    Hello once again everyone! Sorry for falling short on my promise to get caught up, but I’m back. I’m gonna try to keep my posts a bit shorter after this one, so they can be read more quickly and enjoyably. I’ll try once more to get caught up to today, but first I have to cover my fantastic vacation throughout Northern Germany from October 12 to October 20. I’ll just cover the first three days in this post, and then split the other parts into two posts. Enjoy!    After the fun beginning to my fall break, it was time for the real fun to begin. For our trip, we (my host-mom, host-sister and I) were going to take a “tour” of Northern Germany, stopping at many major cities and seeing many places. We began early Wednesday morning, October 12. The plan was to leave at 8:00 in the morning, but my host mom had come down with something and wasn’t feeling up to starting the trip. Willkommen zurück! I hope you haven’t gotten sick of my blogs yet, because I’ve got a few more coming this week. I’m getting closer to being caught up every day, so I’ve just got to make it a few more days. As you might be able to tell from the title (which translates to “Finally, Vacation!”), today’s blog is over the beginning of my fall break. However before I had the break, I still had 4 more days of school to get through. It starts on Tuesday the 4th, after my fun 3-day weekend in Bielefeld.    After the fun weekend, I was back in school for another 4 days before we finally reached vacation. It was a very hectic week, due to so many teachers having their Klausurs and many others having to help with the Klausurs. On Tuesday I had a mostly normal day, except for my Spanish teacher not being there. Hallo! I’m now ending my Herbst Ferien (fall break), but I’ve still got some free time, so I’m going to try to get completely caught up with all my posts. I’ve got quite a few to write, but hopefully I can get it done. My last post left off at the beginning of my second weekend in Köln, so I‘ll pick up there.    After an exhausting first week of school, trying to make friends, and attempting to speak in broken German, the weekend had finally come. I was so happy I could finally relax a bit from the busy school life. Friday afternoon we didn’t have anything planned, so my host sister had a friend over and I wrote some postcards.  The next day started relatively early, as we had some guests coming over. They were all friends of my host mom, most were friends from college.
